Who we are

A bar exam prep course shouldn't cost $3,000.

My name is Braxton. During the day, I work as Of Counsel at a big law firm in Washington, DC where my practice focuses on energy project finance and tax equity. With experience practicing law at two Am Law 50 firms and being admitted to the bar in multiple states, I have had the pleasure of using the big box bar prep companies to learn what works and what does not.

Along with a group of colleagues, I helped create the National Bar Course to make bar prep more accessible, practical, and affordable.

Live lectures are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Classes are recorded in case the live schedule doesn’t work for you. Once you feel confident or pass the exam, you can cancel the membership any time.

The National Bar Course is for recent graduates and repeat test takers who want a smarter, more efficient path to passing the bar exam. Whether you’re working full-time, balancing other responsibilities, or simply don’t want to spend thousands on a big box bar prep program, NBC is designed to meet you where you are and help you pass the bar.

We focus on what actually gets tested and break down legal concepts into rapid rules you can apply on exam day. Successful candidates generally need five things to pass the bar exam: 1) efficient resources with a structured study schedule, 2) a multiple choice question simulator, 3) review numerous past essay exams, 4) ditch passive learning and actively apply the rules, and 5) good old persistence.

NBC Membership includes access to 30+ live lecture classes covering major bar exam subjects including: business associations (agency, partnerships, corporations, and LLCs), contracts and sales, criminal law and procedure, evidence, civil procedure, constitutional law, real property, torts, and workshops for bar exam essay writing, professional responsibility, and the performance test.
